We would also mention that generally there is no question one should buy over rent in Laramie in our opinion. If you don’t know how long you’re going to be here, that’s one thing. If you know you’re going to be here for four years of college or for another reason, ask yourself, “Why should I pay the mortgage for someone else?” If you can afford to buy, you might want to. Rents are very high in Laramie Apartments, and even higher in Laramie Homes!

Now we are happy to take your money, rent you a nice apartment and let you pay my mortgage… but we’d rather help you find a good investment, watch you live there for cheaper than renting, and hopefully make a profit in the end. There are no guarantees on profits – but if you rent, you are guaranteed NOT to make a profit, but rather make them for someone else. Who should consider investing? Anyone with the ability. If you’re a parent of a student, it’s likely you should consider this. If you want to diversify your investment portfolio – investing in a college town, like Laramie, Wyoming could very well lower the overall risk of that portfolio. If you just live here but have some extra money – perhaps you should take advantage of the high rents and become a landlord.
